How much do I pay upfront for my wood fence?
Pride Fence does not require full payment upfront. We collect a deposit to schedule your project and the remainder is due upon completion. You will receive a clear payment schedule with your written estimate so there are no surprises. We never charge hidden fees. The price in your estimate is the price you pay.
How long is the warranty on my wood fence?
Pride Fence provides a 2 to 3 year installation warranty on all wood fence work. This covers any defects in workmanship. If a post shifts, a board loosens, or any installation issue comes up within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no charge. The cedar and pine lumber is also covered by the manufacturer material warranty.
Do new wood fences need sealing?
We recommend sealing or staining a new cedar or pine fence within 6 to 12 months of installation, once the wood has had time to dry fully. Sealing protects the wood from moisture, UV damage, and warping, which significantly extends its lifespan. Fresh-cut lumber should not be sealed immediately because it needs to release its natural moisture content first.
Are the posts for a wood fence set in concrete?
Yes. With the exception of some farm and agricultural applications, every Pride Fence post is set in concrete to the appropriate depth for your soil conditions and fence height. Concrete-set posts are the industry standard for residential privacy fences and are essential to the long-term stability and longevity of your fence.
How high can I build my wood fence?
Most municipalities in the Kansas City metro allow a maximum fence height of 6 feet for residential properties. Some cities have lower restrictions, particularly for front yard fences, which are often limited to 4 feet. Pride Fence knows the local codes across every county we serve and will advise you on the maximum allowable height for your specific address before we write your estimate.
